Component Formula

Manual

WHAT ARE COMPONENTS?

With components in LessonUp you can add extra (interactive) functionalities to you
lesson. This enhances the educational experience of the students and you can address the different needs of students. LessonUp has 11 different components that can be placed in an existing slide.

+ Component Formula

With the 'Formula' component you can place formulas at anywhere on your slide.

FormulA

Click on ‘+ Component’ and then on ‘Formula’.

A window in which you can create the formula appears.
In the box on the right you can add a formula.

Sometimes designing a formula in a text editor works more efficient than in the visual editor. To use this text editor click on 'Text editor'.

In this text editor, there's also the possibility to use KaTex. This is a globally used script to display mathematical formulas on websites, and was developed by Khan Academy.

TIP: when you use the text editor, you cannot go back to the visual editor (for this formula). The visual editor will keep working for other formulas though.

The formula appears in the upper left corner of the slide. You can make the formula larger or smaller by adjusting the size of the frame.
