What you’ll learn: how to add notes, descriptions, and attachments to your lesson.
Duration: 10 minutes

✍️ What should you include in your introduction?

Be concise yet informative:
  • Content: what is the lesson about?
  • Duration: how long will the lesson take?
  • Target audience: who is the lesson designed for?
  • Curriculum alignment: how does the lesson link to the curriculum?
You can add this information in the Description and Lesson instruction sections. How to find it:
  1. Click Options in the lesson editor
  2. Select Settings
  3. Then click on Description

⌚ How long does your lesson take?

Consider the learning objective of your lesson: how much time do students need to achieve it? Avoid making the lesson longer than necessary and be honest about the duration. Ideally, include a rough time breakdown.

🎯 State learning objectives clearly

Clearly outlining expectations helps students succeed in the lesson. Learning objectives can be subject-specific or related to processes and skills.
  • Tip 1: Set achievable goals per lesson.
  • Tip 2: Formulate objectives from the student’s perspective for greater impact: “You can...” or “I can...”.
  • Tip 3: Revisit the objective/s at the end of the lesson using tools like an exit ticket. This allows students to reflect on the lesson content and on their learning.
