  • At the bottom left, click on 'Statistics (organisation name)'.
There are three tabs: 'usage', 'top lessons' and 'user actions'.

Downloading statistics

You can download each individual component as csv, xlxs and/or json files. You can also save the graphs as png. How do you do that?

  • Go to the Usage tab.
  • Select the data for which you want to download statistics under Date.
  • Hover your mouse over the item you want to download.
  • Click on the three dots that appear.
  • Under Download full results, click csv, xlxs, json and/or png to download that component.
Top lessons tab to download all lessons:

  • The dates of this lesson will appear to the right of the List of lessons.
  • Hover your mouse over the item you want to download.
  • Click on the three dots that appear.
  • Under Download full results, click csv, xlxs, json and/or png to download that component.

  • Select the dates for which you want to download statistics under Date.
  • Hover your mouse over the User actions section.
  • Click on the three dots that appear.
  • Under Download full results, click csv, xlxs and/or json to download this section.
You are now downloading all user actions in this period. If you download the Excel file, you can choose to view one individual lesson. For this you need the lesson ID. The lesson ID can be found in the URL of your channel lesson (see image below).
⚠️ Note: Downloading this data may take quite a while once you have clicked on csv, xlxs and/or json (+ several seconds/minutes depending on the data you have chosen). There's no loading icon. Please be patient. The download will appear automatically.

Tab 1: Usage

Set the desired period at 'Date' (top right).

Meaning statistics:
  • Lessons presented: total number of lessons taught
  • Lessons presented > 3 min: total number of lessons taught for a minimum of three minutes
  • Unique lessons presented: number of unique lessons taught
  • Unique lessons presented > 3 min: number of unique lessons taught for a minimum of three minutes
  • Student devices joined: number of devices (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) that interacted with the lessons
Teacher statistics:
  • Unique teachers presented: unique number of teachers who taught
  • Unique teachers presented > 3 min: unique number of teachers who taught for a minimum of three minutes
  • These statistics separate the total number of unique teachers into two groups: those who have a LessonUp account and those who do not.
Channel statistics:
  • Channel page views: total number of views of the channel homepage, tabs, folders and classes. It includes only views of channel lessons via the channel homepage
  • Unique teachers viewed channel page: total number of different teachers who visited the channel page
  • Lesson page views: number of times lessons are viewed
  • Unique teachers viewed lessons page: total number of different teachers who visited the lesson page

TAB 2: Top lessons

In this tab you will find the lessons that are taught most often. On the left, you see a list of the most frequently given lessons. Under 'Lesson name' you see the name of the lesson and to its right under 'Lesson presented' the number of times the lesson has been taught. The lesson that has been presented most often is at the top.

Click on a lesson ID to open the overview for a specific period. Remember to enter the correct date range in the top left under 'Date'

You can also enter a lesson title in the "Lesson name" filter above to view statistics at a lesson name level. This is useful if you have created multiple lessons with the same lesson name. Just make sure you leave the "Lesson ID" filter blank when viewing statistics at a lesson name level. If you leave the Lesson Name/Lesson ID filters empty, the channel's statistics will be shown as a whole.

A Lesson ID is the unique code of a lesson. It can be found in the link of the lesson on your channel. Suppose this is the link to your lesson: https://www.lessonup.com/nl/channel/lessonupacademynl/lesson/JS9LL9Gwof8BW3Z9X. Then the number code after '/lesson' is the Lesson ID. In this example, the lesson ID is: JS9LL9Gwof8BW3Z9X.
💡Tip: if you hover your mouse over a point on the graph, you will see very clearly the month and the number of times that lesson was given.

Below this graph you can see how many times an individual lesson has been viewed, presented, saved and shared.

Looking for a specific lesson and don't see it listed in your top lessons? Then you can find this lesson using its exact name. Without the exact name, you cannot find the statistics of a specific lesson.
  • Go to your own channel.
  • Find/open the lesson you want to view the statistics of.
  • Copy the title of this lesson.
  • Click on your name again to go to Settings.
  • Click statistics and open the second tab Top lessons.
  • In the top left next to Date, you see Lesson. Paste the name of your lesson here.

TAB 3: User actions

This tab contains an overview of user actions per lesson. The last measured actions are automatically at the top. By clicking on an action group (date, lesson, action, etc.) you sort the row.
  • Date: date
  • Lesson_id: this is the lesson code, especially useful if several lessons have the same title. The lesson code is also in the URL of your lesson
  • Lesson: the title of the lesson
  • Action: the user action that the user performs (see glossary below for explanation of each action)
Explanation of terminology user actions
In the user actions tab, some terms are incorporated under the 'Action' category to indicate what action a teacher is performing.
