Get inspired by other teachers

LessonUp is an open source platform. We believe in collaboration. Topics in your lesson may already been covered by someone else. Why shouldn't we use each other's teaching materials? In this course, we'll explain how you can find and use other teacher's material.

Duration: 5 minutes.

🤝 sharing is caring

When you create a lesson on LessonUp, it automatically appears in the lesson library. With a PRO license, you can put a lock on your lesson, for example if it contains sensitive information. By sharing the material in the LessonLibrary, teachers around the world can use (parts of) your lessonmaterial. For example, Dutch teachers can use the English lessons of British teachers.

🔍 how to search for relevant lessons

In the lesson library you will find lesson materials from other teachers. To find material relevant to you, use the filters on the left. Use the search bar to find lessons on specific topics. Make sure that your own country is entered in the country filter.

As soon as a lesson seems interesting to you, click on it to see which lesson components it contains.

✍️ adapt to your needs

Nobody wants to entirely take over someone else's lesson. How most teachers work with LessonUp is by collecting slides from different lessons and adding some of their own slides.

You can add specific slides from other lessons to your own lesson from within the lesson editor. You can also search in the lesson library, save the lesson to your own account and later copy the slides to your own account.

When you save someone else's lesson, a copy of the lesson is made.
This means you never edit someone else's lesson.
