  3. Complete a challenge!

What could 'Growth Mindset' mean?

Growth Mindset is belief that you are capable of doing hard things.

It is made of the thoughts that you tell yourself.

I am ready for the challenge!

It's OK if I make a mistake!

I'll try until I get it right!

If I keep practicing, I'll get good at this!

Growth Mindset might look like...

Completing school work

Exercising

Asking Questions

Setting goals

Growth Mindset might sound like...

I can't do that yet...

But I can learn!

If I keep practicing,

I will get better at this

I'll give it a go!

Do you think it's OK to be disappointed when you try something

but it doesn't work?

The answer is YES!

It is completely normal and OK to feel sad or angry when something goes wrong.

A Growth Mindset helps you learn from mistakes

and gives you the power to try again!

A Fixed Mindset, unlike a Growth Mindset, thinks that getting things wrong, or not having the skills to do something, is a reason to stop trying.

Did you know?...

A Fixed Mindset thinks that people cannot change the things they don’t like about themselves, or get better at the things they’re not so good at.

A Growth Mindset thinks that we can learn new things, even if it is hard.

‘All things are difficult before they are easy’

Change your way of thinking!

I can't do maths, I'm just not good at it.

Their team always wins. They are better than us.

I might need some extra help if I don't understand.

If our team practices, we might win next time!
