Safety first
- Tie long hair
- Work quietly and focussed and ask for help, in case of questions.
- You may work with gloves, if you prefer. In either case, after the practical you need to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and subsequently disinfect.
- If your scalpel is blunt, ask for a replacement blade.
- Do NOT touch your face and mouth with your hands during the practical. Raw (= uncooked chicken) may contain Salmonella bacteria and these can cause a very nasty form of diarrhea.
