- Usage: when something happens at the moment of speaking

EXAMPLE 1: I am looking for the remote

EXAMPLE 2: He is standing on the soccer pitch 

Present continuous

- Usage: when something happens at the moment of speaking

EXAMPLE 1: I am looking for the remote

EXAMPLE 2: He is standing on the soccer pitch 

Formula:

Subject (I) + form of the verb to be (am/is/are) + verb (look) + 

-ing

What needs to be on the line?
John ________ for the right address.

2. is search

Okay, what have we seen so far...

- Usage: when something happens at the moment.

- Affirmative (gewone zin): subject + to be + verb + ing

Goals left:

- using it in a question

- using it in negation

Questions

The only thing you do is putting the form of 'to be' at the front:

Am I looking for the remote?

Is he standing on the soccer pitch?

Negations

- the word you use for negations is 'not'.

- the 'not' comes after the form of 'to be'

I am not looking for the remote

He is not standing on the soccer pitch
