- Je kent het verschil tussen enkelvoudige, samengestelde en complexe zinnen.

- Je kunt een samengestelde of zin maken maken van 2 enkelvoudige zinnen.

Wat is een Enkelvoudige zin?
(simple sentence) 
Dit is een zin die op zichzelf kan staan. 
Bijv; 
I've got a job.
I can buy my own clothes.

Slide 6 - Slide

Compound sentence.
= Samengestelde zin.
2 enkelvoudige zinnen samengevoegd met een voegwoord.
Praats soms makkelijk om van 2 lossen zinnen 1 zin te maken.
bijv:
I've got a job, so I can buy my own clothes.

I've got a job. I can buy my own clothes.

Voorbeelden compound (samengestelde) zinnen.
De betekenis verandert door  het voegwoord.
and, but, for, nor, so, yet
> The door opened. The man walked in.

1. The door opened, so the man walked in.
2. The door opened, and the man walked in.
3. The door opened, but the man walked in.
4. The door opened, yet the man walked in.

Complex sentence
  • Bestaat uit een hoofdzin en één of meerdere bijzinnen.
  • Hoofzin en bijzin(nen) worden samengevoegd door een voegwoord of who/which/that
  • Voorbeelden van voegwoorden: Because, since, after, before, unless, although, when, so that, until.
  • Who which that zijn betrekkelijke voornaamwoorden.
  • Soms wordt er een komma gebruikt tussen de hoofd en bijzin.

De bijzin gebruik je om een reden/uitleg/gevolg/voorwaarde te geven bij de hoofdzin.
