ARTICLE

The writer informs the reader about a certain topic. 
Make sure to include all the elements mentioned in the task!
INTRODUCTION: Introduces the topic and has a clear opinion or point at the end.
BODY: Each body paragraph (2!) focuses on one aspect of the topic expressed in the introduction.
CONCLUSION: Summarises the points discussed in the previous paragraphs and brings it all together. You may want to end with a final comment.

a. This moving / touching. story about a girl’s fight to survive cancer brought tears to my eyes.
b. The complex / intricate plot is hard to follow – I found it quite confusing at some points.
c. This insightful / perceptive account of life on the streets will change your views on homelessness.
d. This novel is really gripping / riveting - I wanted to carry on reading it all night.
e. The author’s meaningful / expressive use of language makes the book a pleasure to read.

Review - follow the plan:
Paragraph 1: Introduction to the book. Give its title, author and setting in an interesting way.
Paragraph 2: Concise summary of the plot. Use the present simple and include information about the main characters and themes. Give readers enough information to understand your comments in paragraph 3.
Paragraph 3: Your opinion. Say what you liked and/ or disliked most about the book. Use the present simple or past simple.
Paragraph 4: Conclusion. Summarize your opinion and/ or give a recommendation.
