Wederkerend voornaamwoord: verwijst bijna altijd terug naar het onderwerp van een zin.

Wederkerig voornaamwoord:  drukt een wederzijdse relatie of handeling tussen twee personen uit.

- als ow en lijdend vw. hetzelfde zijn 

-self & -selves = zelf, zich, zichzelf 

- na ww als wash, dress, shave etc géén reflexive pronoun! 

Alléén wanneer de nadruk ligt op wie de handeling uitvoert

- gebruik je om te praten over 'elkaar' 

- na bijv marry, hug, kiss (werkwoorden die aangeven dat een handeling van 2 kanten komt) komt géén wederkerig vnw.
