6.  Uitzonderingen

Past Simple: to be & to have

Je gebruikt de past simple van to be (was/were) en to have (had) om te zeggen dat iets in het verleden is gebeurd en ook is afgelopen.

Om te zeggen dat iets niet zo was, zet je not of n't achter was / were.

I wasn't home at 12 o'clock.

Past Simple: to be & to have

Je gebruikt didn't + het hele werkwoord om aan te geven dat iets niet gedaan of gebeurd is. 

We didn't have a look at the animals. 

They didn't have a match last weekend.
