The dependent clause comes at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of a sentence.

Place a comma after a dependent clause that begins a sentence.
Eg: After I sneeze, I always blow my nose.

Place commas before and after a dependent clause in the middle of the sentence.
Eg: I use a handkerchief, when I sneeze, to be polite.
