Surfing = when you're on the internet, going from site to site is called surfing.

Web browser = This is the program you need to access the internet.

Website = a collection of related web pages with data, such as text, 
Images or videos, which are stored or 'hosted' (= literally: 'housed, sheltered') in the jargon used. The website is then placed on one or more web servers and (usually) made accessible via the internet. The word part web in website refers to the worldwide web and the English site means place.

Tabs
You used to need a new web browser window for every website. Nowadays you don't have to anymore. You can now have multiple windows open in one web browser. We call these extra windows tabs. 
Shortcut keys:
Close tab: ctrl+w
Open tab: Ctrl +t
switch between tabs

Address bar
The place where you see all those internet addresses we call the address bar. This is where you type in the name of the website when you want to surf.

URL
To access a website, type in an internet address. We call this internet address a URL. It stands for uniform resource locator, which allows us to find a website or file online in a very specific way.

Ip- adres
Each computer connected to the Internet has a unique number, the IP address. Using the IP address, computers recognise each other and can then communicate. You can see it as a kind of telephone number for computers. Websites sometimes use the IP address, for example, to gamble where you are. The Internet service provider assigns the address to you. The IP address consists of four series of numbers separated by a dot
