Do not read the text yet! Just take a quick look at the title and headings of the text No Time To Die. What do you see exactly in the picture? What do you think the text is about?

Think of a question at every heading, before you read the paragraph. Postponed, The final chapter, Production, Promotion.

Explanation

When you are going to read a text, it is a good idea to generate questions before, while and after reading the text. This helps you to understand the text better. It also helps you to see what you don’t understand (yet).

Often you can find the answer to the questions in the text, but not always! Then you have to look it up or ask someone else.

Tip!

Good questions often start with 

wwwwwh-words: who, what, where, when, why

and how.

Now, you are going to read the text. Read the paragraphs of the text one by one. 

While reading, think of a question for every paragraph (use the

wwwwwh-words) and fill in the answer (on the next page). Use the information from the text.

Try to deduce the meanings of the words you don’t understand. If that doesn’t work and the word is important for your understanding of the text, you can use the ‘Words to help you’ by clicking on the picture underneath or look it up in a dictionary

In line 48 it says that film director Boyle left due to ‘creative differences’. Why are these words in brackets?

1. Because the authors wants to stress the importance of these words.
2. Because these words really mean something else. It is a neutral way to say that they didn’t agree at all.
3. Because this is what film director Boyle said literally. It is a citation or quote.

Read the text under Production (lines 41-61). Why was the making of No Time To Die difficult? Use key words to name three reasons from the text.

Read the text under Promotion (lines 63-87). Which of the following statements is NOT TRUE, according to the text?

1. Billie Eilish is the youngest singer ever of a Bond theme song.
2. Billie Eilish was not surprised that she got to write and record the theme song.
