  5. My aunt asked if I was going to town.
  6. He told me that he had been at a party the night before.

  • 1. Begin met een inleiding: He said (that), She asked if, They told me, We explained, etc.
    2. Verander de werkwoordstijd van de zin:
  • Present Simple --> Past Simple (vb: works --> worked)
  • Present Continuous --> Past Continuous (vb: are going --> were going)
  • Present Perfect / Past Simple --> Past Perfect (vb: have seen --> had seen / was --> had been)
    3. verander waar nodig de tijd:
  • yesterday --> the day before 
  • tomorrow --> the next day 
  • today --> that day / 
  • now --> then 
  • tonight --> that night
    4. Verander bepaalde woorden
  • this --> that / these --> those / here --> there
  • I --> he, she / my --> his, her / we --> they etc.
