Reading a book
We are going to read a book for English.
Every title on the Book suggestions OB list or the Bookflix OB ATC  PowerPoint is fine. Both of these documents can be found in the "studiewijzers" on the ELO.
If you would like to read something else, please ask me for permission first! Make sure to choose a book that fits your level of command in English! So not too difficult, but also not too easy.
Deadline for handing in your book title: Monday the 19th of April.

Knowledge organizer & poster
While reading your book, you will fill out a knowledge organizer to prepare for the poster you are going to make when you have finished reading the book.
Deadline for reading the book: 31st of May!

In the week of 31st May - 4th of June you will make a poster about your book at school!

Find information
Find information about (at least) one of the authors. On an English site, so your information should be in English!!!
If you need help: use the name of the author and the term “children’s books” in Google (or see slides 18 & 19 for tips).
Write down at least 3 interesting facts about the writer.  For example: Where does he/she live, what did he/she study, what are his/her interests/hobbies, a list of the books he/she has written, or other funny facts. You can type your answers in the next slide.

Helpful tips for searching information

If you don’t know which writer to choose, choose one of the four links on the next slide.

Check the listening Test
If you are at school, you are allowed to take a look at your listening test. Before we do, make sure your table is completely empty. So, put everything into your bag and leave it there. We will then take a look at the answers.
For the people at home, you may leave the call in Teams now and work individually on the LU lesson. You can look at your test next week.

If anybody would like to hear the audio fragment and see the questions and answer possibilities again, you may let me know and we will make an appointment.
