 - in front of the staff you can see a treble clef. This clef shows you the location of the note called 'G'. 

- Names of the notes: C - D - E - F - G - A - B - C etc. etc

- It doesn't matter if the stem of a note points up or down. The most important thing is the 'dot'. This shows you how high or how low you should play the note.

Variation and Ostinate
Variation = when a motif is being changed. You can change a motif in pitch, but also in rhythm or by making the motif longer or shorter.

Ostinate = when a motif is repeated for a long time

Vraag de leerlingen waarom dit instrument er niet bij hoort en laat ze de namen van de instrumenten noemen.
