In Dutch we put the word "veel" in front of a pronoun,

in English we use one of the following four:

-  many 

-  much

-   a lot of 

-  lots of

	countable	uncountable
many (formeel )
much (formeel)
a lot of (informeel)
lots of (zeer informeel)

Examples:

- There were many books at the new comicbook shop.

- She has much time left.

- He drank a lot of water.

- We ate lots of burgers.

Examples:

• There are few pens. 
• She has little sugar left in her kitchen.
• I only need a few bottles.
• He needs  a little  time.
