Presentation tips:
Clear presentation = what is your topic and why; good idea to talk about the <======= example topics
Reduce text = only add key phrases & important info
Keep it simple but pretty! = don't use distracting backgrounds
Use images, quotes = good idea to explain why you included them = more speaking!
Common mistakes!
sounds & words
Mispronouncing “th” sounds:
“this” → dis, “think” → tink
Flat intonation: Sounds monotonous, lacks emotions = like a robot
Stress errors: e.g. DEvelopment instead of deVEloPMent
Dutch fillers: “uhm… zeg maar… ja…”
English fillers: “like… like...er...you know ”
overusing very & really: ipv very nice, really interesting -> fantastic, engaging

Structure
no intro, jumping between topics back and forth, no conclusion
My presentation goes about... => is
I'm gonna talk about... => going to
"I like it" = no explanation
too much text on slides / reading slides / mistakes on slides / hard to read
did not practise => presentation is too short!
Common mistakes 3.0
Presentation skills
not facing the audience (e.g. reading slides/notes)
only looking at 1 person
speaking too fast (or too slow) or laughing
cannot hear you!
hand in pockets
not moving at all / moving too much
jumping between ideas without linking words: First...Next...Finally...
can't answer questions
