  •  German minority in Hungary is also referred to as the Danube Swabians. It consists of a group of some 180 000 individuals today.
  • Germans started migrating to Hungary from middle ages up until the 18th century mainly
  • In the first few decades of the 20th century, the German minority in Hungary  was thriving, reaching numbers upwards 2 million
