  • Formal email or letter means you are writing to a company,an  institution or person you don not know
  • An email has 5 main parts:
  • header, salutation, body, closing sentence, name
  • 1. header > From : who sent you an email,  To : the email address you are sending the email to                          Sent: date /specific time   Subject: what your email is about.Subject: what your                                 email is about        
  •   2. Salutation >  Start  your email with Dear Sir/ MadamGoodmorning,

  • 3. Body >In the body you write your message. This could be about a number of topics; asking                       questions, book a room, file a complaint.

Have you entered the email address to the person you are writing to?
Salutation
Closing sentence 
Proper ending
Does each sentence start with a capital?
