FCE listening- General Information 
 4 different parts - 40 minutes 
- multiple choice
- sentence completion
- multiple matching
- multiplce choice (again) 

Content: discussions, conversations, monologues, interviews, documentaries, radio broadcasts, news, and anecdotes.

Part 1
Part 1 is always about multiple choice questions. You listen for either details or a more general idea.
  • 8 separate extracts 1 or 3 people speaking for about 30 seconds.
  • 1 question per extract.
  • Each extract will be repeated, so you can skip questions that you find difficult. You can do them the second time you hear them.

Biggest challenge: FOCUS 
tips:
  • only focus when necessary 
  • highlight important words + write down predictions/ synonyms 
  • do not make distracting sounds for others 

General Tips 
sleep well, drink water, move before exam and do not stare at your phone shortly before exam, come in quietly 
practise listening exercises = practising focus
