Question Tags
What are they?
-short questions at the end of a sentence to confirm/check information
-similar to "ja toch?", "toch?", "vind je niet?", "niet waar?"

-repeat the auxiliary verb ( be, do, have, will) + subject 
 She is watching that new Netflix show, isn't she?

 -if there is no auxiliary verb, use do/don't, does/doesn't or did/didn't

If the sentence is positive, the question tag is  negative 
> You are a runner, aren't you?


If the sentence is  negative, the question tag is positive
> She isn't happy, is she

  • the negative question tag which belongs to "I am", is irregular 
             - I am a good basketball player, aren't I? 

  • Positive question tag which belongs to  "I am" is regular
             -I am not a good basketball player, am I?
