Conditionals in general

Helaas, pindakaas!

We gebruiken de third conditional om te praten over iets wat zou zijn gebeurd of had kunnen gebeuren ALS je in het verleden een andere keuze had gemaakt. Je kunt dit niet meer veranderen. 

If I had studied harder, I would have passed the test. (But I didn't, so I failed.) 

Vormen: 

Bijzin met if (voorwaarde)	Hoofdzin (gevolg)	Gebruik
If + past perfect If I hadn't spent all my money on snacks,	would have + voltooid deelwoord I would have been able to buy tickets for the concert.	iets wat zeker gebeurd zou zijn als je een andere keuze had gemaakt.
If + past perfect If I had played better in that important match,	could / might have + voltooid deelwoord I might have become a professional football player.	iets wat mogelijk gebeurd zou zijn als je een andere keuze had gemaakt.

Fill the gaps, use the Third Conditional:
If I (found) her address, I (send) her an invitation.

Third conditional: If we ... (arrive) earlier, we ...(see) John but we were much too late.

Third conditional:

Third conditional:
