Slide 2 - Slide

Burgers, pizzas, chicken wings.,
Tacos, French fries, onion rings.

Ice cream, donuts, cookies, cakes,

Soda, chips, and chocolate shakes.

These are things I like to munch,

Breakfast, dinner, snack and lunch.

Every meal I eat includes,

More, and more, and more fast foods.

Yet with every meal I eat,

I grow slower on my feet.

This is why I want to know,

Why does fast food make me slow?

Some or Any?
Some en Any betekenen allebei een paar, enkele, enige, een beetje of wat.
not ... any  betekent geen

Maar, wanneer gebruik je nou some en wanneer any?

Slide 4 - Slide

Some or any?
--> I’ve got some oranges.

--> I haven’t got any oranges.
--> Do you have any oranges?

Slide 5 - Slide

Slide 6 - Slide

Let op! Uitzonderingen!
Aanbod:
Would you like some tea?
Verzoek:
Can I have some water please?

Much, many, a lot, lots of?
Much, many, a lot of  & lots of  betekenen alle vier ‘veel’.

Slide 21 - Slide

Much or many?
Much:
Have you got much work to do?
There isn’t much information about the accident.

Many:
How many brothers or sisters have you got?
I haven’t got many pens left.

Slide 22 - Slide

many
much

Slide 23 - Slide

A lot of / lots of:

There were a lot of phone calls this morning.
 We bought lots of fruit.

Het is mogelijk om in bevestigende zinnen much/many te gebruiken, maar het is gebruikelijker om a lot of / lots of te gebruiken.
