Questions & Negations

Questions & Negations
- There are two rules when making questions / negations:
    1. If there is a form of "to be" (is/was/were/etc.) or an
auxiliary verb (can/will/may/etc.) you place that verb at the
beginning of the sentence or n't after that verb.

He is doing his homework  >   Is he doing his homework?
I can read that sign.          >   I can't read that sign.

Slide 10 - Slide

Questions & Negations
- 2. If there is no form of "to be" or no auxiliary verb
(can/may/etc.), you add a form of "to do".

He told me about the trip. >  Did he tell you about the trip?
The cat sleeps in our bed.  > The cat doesn't sleep in our bed
