Strategies to use...
1. Listen globally > pay attention to Verbs (werkwoorden), Nouns (zelfst. nmw) and adjectives (bijvoeg. nmw)
2. Listen for details > check the questions for specific details you need to know + underline them OR write them down
(power of taking notes!)
3. Predict! What can it be about (get into the specific mindset and vocab)
4. Tone, listen for the tone of someone's voice (angry, insecure, etc.) it can say a lot about someone's feelings, opinion, etc.
5. LINKING words! They 'signpost' a specific part like an example, conclusion, arguments, etc.
