One vs Ones

We use one or ones if we do not want to repeat the already mentioned noun (het al genoemde zelfstandig naamwoord). One(s) replaces  the noun. 

One -> refers to the SINGULAR noun (enkelvoud)
Ones -> refers to the PLURAL noun (meervoud)

I don't want the green apples. I want the red apples.
I don't want the green apples. I want the red ones

Gebruik: als je een zelfstandig naamwoord wilt herhalen in de zin. Eerst komt het zelfstandig naamwoord en daarna one/ones.
