Short yes/no answers

In English you answer questions with more than yes or no.

Do you like movies? > Yes .....

Slide 15 - Slide

Short yes/no answers

  2. Je kiest de juiste persoon (I, you, we, she, they etc)

  4. Als het antwoord no is, plak je daar nog n't (not) achter

Slide 16 - Slide

Short yes/no answers
Do you like pizza? Yes, I do! / No, I don't.
Can they come over today? Yes, they can. / No, they can't.

You repeat the first verb from the sentence.

Slide 17 - Slide

Slide 18 - Open question

Is your sister sporty?

Slide 19 - Open question

Can / could / to be allowed to

Slide 20 - Slide

Can

Bijvoorbeeld:

You can borrow my pen

You can't use my bike because I need it myself

let op: bij he/she/it krijgt can geen -s

Dus: he can have my pencil.

Slide 21 - Slide

Can / Could

Je gebruikt can en could om te vragen of iets mag.

Could is altijd beleefder dan can.

Bijvoorbeeld:

Can we eat pizza tonight?

Could I borrow your pen (please)?

Slide 22 - Slide

Be allowed to

I am (not) allowed to.....

You are(n't) allowed to.....

He, she, it is(n't) allowed to....
