Present simple
  • You use the present simple when something always, never or regularly happens. Habbit, fact, fixed time schedule
  • I always drink tea in the morning

Present continuous
  • You use the present continuous when something is happening right now
  • I am drinking tea at the moment
  • to be (am/are/is) + werkwoord ending in -ING

Option 1

Imagine a friend is coming to live in your town or city. What would you tell them. Send them an email and tell them about:

- The people who live in the town or         city
- The best area to live in
- The easiest way to get around (bus,         train, bike, car)
- Some places they can visit or things       to do     
                                       At least 50 words
 



 Option 2

Imagine that you are going to put up a friend from another country for a few days. Send them an email about your routine. Tell them about:

- What time you wake up and go to bed
- Your meals and mealtimes
- What you usually do in the morning, in         the afternoon and in the evening
- What you are doing this weekend
