Viscosity & Flow
  • Flow:  how a fluid moves. Flow is determined by Viscosity.
  • Viscosity: how easily a fluid flows. Viscosity is determined by resistance to movement.

What Is Density?
  •  Density explains why some objects float while others sink.
  • Density describes how much an object weights relating to its size.
  • Every single substance and material has its own unique value for density.
  • Density tells us how particles and molecules are arranged in these materials. For example,  the more the molecules are spread out the  lower the density an object has, like air. In solids, the particles and molecules are tightly packed together,  and so the density is higher.
  • Density also applies to liquids. For example, if an object is less dense than water it will float, but if it is more dense it will sink.
