Some is used in a positive sentence to show that there is a quantity of something. For example: I have some apples.

'Some' word gebruikt in een positieve zin om te laten zien dat er een hoeveelheid van iets is.

Any
Any is used in a negative sentence or a question to show that there is no quantity of something. For example: Do you have any apples? I don't have any apples.

Plurals are used to show that there is more than one of something. 
For example: There is one cat.
There are three cats
