The creation of 'Wonder'
Raquel Palacio, the author ofWonder, took inspiration for Wonder from an incident in her own life.
She went to an icecream shop where her son noticed a girl with a facial impairment. The boy cried out of shock. Palacio walked directly out of the shop. The incident made a deep impression on her and moved her to write the book.
