Hoe ziet een negatieve zin eruit?

1. She is working at the store.
2. She isn't working at the store

Negations with not

Zinnen zijn normaal gezien positief.

Om een zin negatief te maken gebruiken we het woord "Not"


Bij am/are/is zetten we "not" achter het werkwoord.

"I am not a bad person."
"She is not eating a banana."
"They are not swimming in the pool."

Wanneer dit werkwoord ontbreekt, voegen wij zelf een extra woord toe! Welke is dit?

"I do not think about her all day!"
"She does not work at the supermarket."
"They do not party all day."
