My Lai (1968)

An American platoon chased a supposed viet cong unit.

They had a suspiscion that they where hiding in the village of 'my Lai'. 

Their commanding officer, who had turned crazy ordered his soldiers to "kill everything that moves, breathes or grows."

The result was the death of ~400 Vietnamese people.
