Today's Activity

We are going to think up our own desert island.
The island will be created with YOUR input. So choose wisely.
Your answers will shape the island of our dreams/nightmares.

What kinds of 'terrain' can be found on our desert island?

Choose one of the types or terrain that we mentioned and describe it in 3-4 sentences ( in English)

What kinds of creatures/animals can be found on our island?

Choose one of the creatures that were mentioned and describe them in detail. ( 3-4 sentences)

What kind of weather can one expect on a desert island?

Give a weather forecast for the next two days on our island ( 4-5 sentences)

Think of 1 dangerous ( non deadly) trap you can find on the island. Describe this trap in ( 5-6 sentences)

Quiz Time

Your plane crashes and you get stranded on an island. You wash ashore with a gash in your elbow, but it doesn't look deadly. What should you do first?

1. Find water. Immediately.
2. Treat the wound as best you can. You need to stabilize it.
3. Curse the Wright Brothers for their work on the aeroplane.
4. Give up, it's been a good life.

Why is it important to stay in the shade as much as possible?

1. Animals and bugs won't bother you.
2. You can regulate your body temperature.
3. You'll sweat less, thus preserving water.

1. As close to your water source as possible.

1. Get the sushi table prepped.
2. Praise Poseidon, cook the fish thoroughly, and reap the benefits.

Stress can lead to panic, and panic to death. What should you focus on mentally?

1. Keep focused on your next important task.
2. Worry about all of the things you have to do.
3. Make a timeline to track your days stranded.
4. Concentrate on only the positive things.
