Question 1: There is an actual hide and seek game in this chapter, but what other meanings might this title have for Marjane? What is she seeking and / or hiding from?

Question nr 2: How do some Austrians make Marjane feel like an outsiders? Why do you think they act this way towards her?

Question nr 3: Some of Marjane's friends are very concerned about the new conservative, 'Nazi like politicians' in Austria. Why doesn't Marjane seem to share their anger? (focus on pages 229, 230, 231).

Nihilism is a family of views that works around the shared premise that there is no inherent value, meaning and order to life (independent of the value/meaning we create).

A viewpoint that traditional values and beliefs are unfounded and that existence is senseless and useless.
