Notice the difference between regular and irregular verbs:
Present         -   past             -  past participle
walk                -   walked       -   walked (regular)
listen              -   listened     -  listened (regular)

be                     - was/were    -  been (irregular)
hold                 - held               -  held (irregular)

Past simple = verleden
participle = voltooid deelwoord
You are expected to put the correct form of the verb in a sentences. Example. I .........(be) very hungry = I am very hungry
