  • to mind
  • to keep
  • to stop

Na de volgende werkwoorden kan je zowal de -ing vorm als to + werkwoord gebruiken:
  • to like
  • to start
  • to begin

She likes dancing.
She likes to dance.

Uitzondering op to like is dat je bij would like geen -ing vorm maar to + werkwoord gebruikt.

  • I like helping people.
  • I would like to help you.

Wanneer een zin begint met een werkwoord, dan gebruik je altijd de -ing vorm.

  • Advertising is expensive.
