Adjective

Describes a noun (omschrijft een zelfstandig naamwoord)

They come before the noun they describe

She has a beautiful face.

My cake should have sixteen candles.

I am the funniest person here.

Adjective: Sort and order

Quantity - Hoeveelheid (ex. one, four)

Opinion - Mening (ex. beautiful, delicious)

Size - Grootte (ex. huge, small)

Temperature - Temperatuur (ex. hot, cold)

Age - Leeftijd (ex. old, 18-year-old, young)

Shape - Vorm (ex. Square, round)

Colour - Kleur (ex. Red, black)

Descent - Herkomst (ex. Belgian, Dutch)

Material - Materiaal (ex. Glass, wooden)

Adverb

Sometimes ends in -ly.
