Scatter graphs

Slide 1 - Slide

What is a scatter graph?
  • A scatter graph is a good way of displaying two sets of data.
  • They help us to see if there is a connection or a correlation between the two sets of data.

Slide 2 - Slide

Skills to learn:
  1. Plotting a scatter graph (practise on MyMaths)
  2. Drawing a line of best fit (in the correct direction through the plots and ensuring there are an even number of plots on each side)
  3. Describing the relationship between 2 sets of data on a scatter graphreferring to both data sets.
  4. Using a scatter graph to predict an outcome and know how to show this on the graph (by drawing lines)
