Slide 3 - Slide

Let's listen to Martin and Jodie

Discuss with your neighbour:

Did he do the smart thing moving to London?

Where would you like to move?

Slide 4 - Slide

Discuss with your neighbour:
Why do Martin and Jodie use SOME and ANY?
Write down what you think.

Martin:   I’ve got some photo’s here – look, this is my house in California.
Jodie:     Wow, it looks great! What about inside? Have you got any more photos?
Martin:   Not on my phone. It’s quite big inside, but there are only three bedrooms.
Jodie:     Are all the rooms on one floor?
Martin:   Yes, there aren’t any stairs, but there is a small loft.
Jodie:      Cool, I love lofts!
Martin:   Not this one! It’s dark and there’s no window. There’s just some old furniture up there.
Jodie:     Well, now you’re in a flat on the 5th floor. That’s a big change.
Martin:   Yes, it’s different… but I like it. It’s got a balcony! We haven’t got one back home.
Jodie:     But you’ve got a garden there. Have you got a swimming pool?
Martin:  No, there isn’t any space. But it doesn’t matter, there’s a pool next door!

  • List at least 2 features of the house (i.e. a balcony or garden, a games room) and 3 objects or pieces of furniture you’d put in the house.

Slide 10 - Slide

Discuss with your neighbour
