You are going to read a text. Before reading you can make a prediction. This helps you to think of what you already know. Look at the title, the picture and the headings.

Lees eerst devraag. Aan de hand van de opdracht bepaal je hoe je gaat lezen.
Bij een vraag over de hele tekst, ga je skimmen. Je gaat zoeken naar aanwijzingen voor het antwoord.
Bij vragen naar bepaalde informatie, ga je scannen. Als de vraag bijvoorbeeld is hoeveel iets kost, ga je op zoek naar bedragen. Als er in een vraag regelnummers gegeven worden, is het vaak de bedoeling dat je de gehele alinea leest.
Bij meerkeuzevragen, staan de vragen gewoonlijk op volgorde van de tekst. Lees alleen de vraag en het stukje waar volgens jou het antwoord in staat. Probeer vervolgens zelf een antwoord te geven en vergelijk dat met de antwoorden die gegeven zijn. Kies dan het antwoord dat het meest op jouw antwoord lijkt. Kom je er niet uit, dan is het vaak een kwestie van een paar keer 'heen en weer' lezen.
