New York

December in New York
Hi Facebook friends!

How are things? Let me tell you about my December. Every year we watch the lighting of the Christmas tree lights at Rockefeller Center! It’s a real tradition in New York. I go there with my family. After that we go shopping at Macy’s. I do not like it. It’s always really busy, because everybody is buying presents.

I’m really looking forward to the Christmas break! I always celebrate Christmas at home with my brother and parents. We dress smart and we usually have turkey for dinner.
On New Year’s Eve my friends and I always go to the famous ball drop at Times Square. The ball is on the roof of a high building and starts to drop at 11.59. It stops at midnight, and then the fireworks start! After the fireworks there is a big party at my friend’s house.
Do you have any questions for me? Maybe you want to know more about the holiday season in New York? What are your plans?
Merry Christmas! See you soon!

Naima's message
Hi Paul,

Happy New Year from New York!
It’s not midnight here yet. There is a time difference of six hours. Are you OK?
What are your plans for tonight?
We are going to a party! I’m so excited to be here.
Unfortunately, Dad is a little ill. He’s decided to stay at the hotel. Poor Dad!
I hope you have a great day!

Love,
Naima
