Er zijn twee dingen gebeurd in het verleden. 

Het ene (past perfect) is gebeurd voor het andere (past simple)

Make a sentence using the past perfect:

eat breakfast
go to school

1. Yesterday I ate my breakfast and after that I went to school.
2. I have eaten breakfast before I went to school yesterday.
3. I had eaten my breakfast before I went to school yesterday.
4. I am having breakfast before I went to school yesterday.

Ann: "I can try to play tennis."	Ann said she could try to play tennis.
Suzy: "I will be a doctor next year."	Suzy said she would be a doctor next year.

Wat gebeurt er met werkwoordstijden als je van direct speech naar reported speech gaat?

1. Die gaan altijd één stap terug in de tijd
2. Die gaan één stap terug in de tijd, als dat mogelijk is.
3. Die blijven altijd hetzelfde.
