You can't learn everything by heart....

.... but some phrases are useful

we'll do ex 9 and 10 on p87 to start our "database" of phrases

Organize your thoughts

• prevent the mental overload 
  
• ensure structured writing
• useful checklist after

brainstorm

Just write words/short phrases

Sometimes they group automatically

Sometimes you just draw a circle around it later

outline

Sort the brainstorm into topics

under each topic: arguments/explanation

tick each section off when re-reading

Try!

make a brainstorm and use that for an outline (last 2 mins)

!even if you think you know what you want to say!

Use at least 3 topics that can become paragraphs

Use all the time, just keep adding ideas, even if they are stupid

Use the phrases from ex 9 and 10 to structure your sentences if you are uncertain

Use your outline to guide your writing

Write in English first, you won't have time to translate on the test
