Typical Editing Steps
1. Put media on computer*                                                 9. Add titles or elements
2. Import media                                                                    10. Add video effects + transitions
3. Create timeline + add video clips                               11. Set audio volumes
4. Sync B-roll or external audio                                       12. Add audio effects
5. Scan + trim out unneeded parts                                13. Color grade/correct
6. Rearrange to match story/feel                                   14. Export* + review
7. Add audio / music                                                           15. Final changes + export to share
8. Review + Refine

1. MEDIA on computer
- copy videos, photos, music (that you may already have)
- note where the FOLDERS are

- BUT there is free media available on Canva or online

2. IMPORT
- create New Video in Canva
- drag videos, elements, shapes etc into PAGES / TIMELINE

3. SEQUENCE + 4. TRIM
- put pages in rough order in Timeline
- learn ways to clip, trim, delete, extend, etc.
- keep best moments, remove unwanted sections

5. REARRANGE + REFINE
- try moving clips to support your story/feel
- move clips to fill all gaps (look for red line)
- review + trim more

6. TITLES + TRANSITIONS
- put opener title and ending title
- add in transitions between titles and clips

7. Add MUSIC / AUDIO
- free options available in the software
- find music with the right feel
- add into project + set all volumes
