Future
Four different forms:
1. present
2. ing-form
3. to be going to + verb
4. Will + verb

Future: Present
My plane leaves at eight in the morning.
The first bus leaves at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.
We use the future present to talk about something that happens according to a set shedule, e.g. train times, closing/opening times

Future: ing-form
She is having an operation next week.
We are playing cards with the neighbours tonight.
We use the future ing-form to talk about appointments made in the near future.
!! There should always be a future time in these sentences, e.g. next week, tomorrow, next year.

Future: to be going to + verb
We are going to buy a new piano.
He is going to send her some flowers on Valentine's Day.
Look at those clouds! I think it is going to rain.
to be: am/is/are
We use this form to talk about plans for the future, to talk about something that is likely going to happen or to make a prediction.

Future: will + verb
I will visit the US one day.
In a hundred years, we will have flying cars.
We use this form to talk about things in the future that are not yet sure or for things that you've decided to do at the moment of speaking (meaning: you haven't thought about it before)
