Question tags

 Question tags zijn de korte vragen, aan het einde van een Engelse zin. Je zou ze kunnen vertalen met "toch?" of "hè?".

* Jij bent morgen jarig, toch?

* Hij vindt haar leuk, hè?

-controle vraag

- uitnodiging tot antwoorden

Question tags 

Kijk naar de zin: is die positief (zonder not / n't)  of 
      negatief (met not / n't) ?

* Schrijf bij een positieve zin de negatieve vorm van het werkwoord achter de zin 
* Schrijf bij een negatieve zin de positieve vorm van het werkwoord achter de zin.

Question tags 

Na een bevestigende zin ( + ),

komt een ontkennende ( - ) en andersom.

You are at school, aren't you?

He can't hear me, can he?

This is your book, isn't it?

You aren't hungry,

Thomas is cute ,

We could help,

   are you?

   isn't he?

   couldn't we?

Question tags

Question tag is een aangeplakte vraag.

- als de hoofdzin - is, is de question tag + en andersom.

- je gebruikt het onderwerp en werkwoord.

Sue can't dance, ....

1. can't she?
2. can she?
3. couldn't she?
4. could she?

He is your brother, ....

1. is he?
2. can't he?
3. isn't he?
4. doesn't he?

You have been to Australia,

1. do you?
2. didn't you?
3. haven't you?
4. have you?

Angela couldn't help him,

1. can't she?

3. can she?
4. could she?

Tom doesn't work here,

1. does Tom?
2. does he?
3. doesn't Tom?
4. doesn't he?

This grammar is easy,

(let op: rare uitzondering!)

Tags met hoofdwerkwoorden

You don't love him, 

Bij andere werkwoorden kan je er niet zomaar n't achterplakken, dan heb je het (hulpwerkwoord) TO DO nodig
