Slide 9 - Slide

To talk about (bad) habits, we use adverbs of frequency.
1. Is it just a regular habit? -> Use the present simple tense!
e.g. I often pick my nose. / I seldom forget things.

2. Is the habit happening a lot these days? -> Use 'these days' or 'nowadays' + the present continuous tense! Don't use an adverb of frequency.
e.g. He is talking a lot these days. / Nowadays, they are picking their noses a lot.

3. Is the habit annoying and repetitive? Do you want to highlight that there is no end to it? Use the present continuous tense + 'always' 'constantly' or 'forever'.
e.g. He's constantly interrupting me! / They are always  laughing at him!
